Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has on Thursday, December 20th 2018 Announced that the sale of form for its 2019/2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will commence 10th January, 2019.
The Board made this known through its Registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede on Thursday, December 20th during a meeting between the board the proprietors of the accredited JAMB Computer Based Test (CBT) Centres in Lagos.
The Registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede insisted that Cybercafés won't be part of 2018/2019 registration due to their negative activities. The Registrar argued that Cybercafés overcharges and mix-up data of prospective candidates there by bringing bad image on the board. He insisted that when candidates are being overcharged, they said JAMB is responsible.
He advised prospective candidates to access information about 2018/2019 registration through 718 JAMB CBT accredited centres within the country.
The Registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede charged the 718 JAMB CBT accredited centres within the country not involve in sharp practices that will mar the integrity of the board. He urged them to focus on quality service delivery first before considering the revenue. He also reminded them that their activities are being monitored and board won't hesitate to sanction centres that involve in sharp practices.
The Registrar stated that the registration will last for six weeks. He also gave assurances that the general election will not affect Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) since the board has adjusted its timetable ahead of the elections.
